Georgia is a right-to-work state which means that no one is required to join a union; actors who are not a member of the Guild have the right to work under a Signatory contract. To you, this means that both union and non-union professionals can be considered for your SAG project:

In terms of your labor agreement with SAG, you have an obligation to audition SAG performers, and give them "preference of employment" (first consideration). When these obligations are met, you may hire any guild member or non-member that you choose. Taft Hartley is automatic. More info at: www.nrtw.org/rtws.htm. Union actors may not audition for non-union projects.
